Borrowed a 6.4 Excess to try on the RRD 100. Worked fine, but the heavy chop felt harsh even with the soft deck-pads on the RRD. Sailed upwind to find flatter water, but the wind picked up and I was overpowered - sail was very stable though.

Changed down to 5.7 and 90 litres which was perfect and had a couple of great sessions on this. I should have changed down earlier, but I was impressed with the Excess - very stable and felt compact. Cream crackered afterwards.
